Reflections from Entrepreneurs
Peter Syrén, Partner and Managing Director at Kinnareds Well, joined Relyon in April 2022, following the acquisition of Kinnareds Well. As a Swedish-based producer of sustainable single faced corrugated products, Kinnareds Well is renowned for its flexible and solution-oriented approach.
The primary motivations for joining Relyon were to further our growth and enhance our market presence both within Sweden and on the international stage. We saw several benefits with Relyon’s platform, such as access to M&A capacity, economies of scale, and expanded international outlook. Equally important was the maintenance of a high degree of autonomy, enabling us to continue leading our business operations effectively.
In 2023, Kinnareds Well was was distinguished with the prestigious "Di Gazelle Award" by Dagens Industri, a leading financial newspaper in Sweden. This award was in recognition of the company’s exceptional growth and performance. “The year we received the Di Gazelle Award also marked the 70th anniversary of Kinnareds. It is both a joy and an honor to demonstrate that a company of our age can still achieve remarkable speed and growth”.
Currently, Peter dedicates most of his efforts to commercial development, building relationships with customers and suppliers, and exchanging knowledge and best practice with the other Managing Directors within the group. His future ambitions include driving Kinnareds Well's growth, introducing new products, and playing an integral role in advancing the Relyon Group towards becoming a leading European entity in the sector. “I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to expand our group through the addition of new, leading niche players, further develop our existing product range, and foster enriching exchanges and cooperation among our group companies”.

In 1992, José Manuel and his brother Felix Garcia Castro founded Royal Pack, initially focusing on security envelopes and bags for protecting valuables. Over the years, the company has evolved into a leading producer of tamper-evident products, including an extensive range of more than 30 security seal models tailored for various applications across numerous industries globally. In 2022, the founders decided to partner with Relyon.
“The primary motivations for aligning with Relyon were the opportunity to integrate into a robust group of companies with aligned growth ambitions, and a mutual trust in the strategic direction. Additionally, the potential for revenue synergies amongst the group's entities was particularly compelling.”
From its inception, José Manuel and Felix have consistently emphasized investments in R&D, sustainable expansion, diversification of products, and maintaining a high caliber of product quality and customer service. Their ongoing success can also be attributed to meticulous market observation and an adaptability to market shifts and consumer demands.
“Since joining Relyon, we've maintained full autonomy in managing our operations, upholding our foundational values and vision - a crucial aspect for us. The collaboration has broadened our product portfolio and encouraged idea sharing with our peer companies within the group. Moving forward, we anticipate this partnership will significantly enhance our growth, both organically and via strategic acquisitions of leading niche players.”
